Match statements to your books

Import bank or mobile-money statement CSV files, match deposits and withdrawals to receipts and payments, and review the balance difference.

Manage accounts

Statement period

Use a statement ending balance from the bank statement.

CSV files can use Date, Description or Narration, optional Reference, and either a signed Amount or separate Debit and Credit columns. Deposits are positive and withdrawals are negative. Matching requires the statement amount to equal the posted book amount. Correct the statement ending balance from the provider’s statement; use the line actions below to edit, delete, or unmatch an imported row.

Import statement lines

Download the bank or mobile-money statement as a CSV file, then select it here.

The importer recognizes common Date, Description, Reference, Amount, Debit and Credit headers. Deposits must be positive and withdrawals negative; for unsigned Amount columns, include a recognizable transaction type/direction column or use Debit and Credit columns. Imports add statement rows only; they do not create financial entries. Match each row to an existing posted receipt, supplier payment or other ledger transaction. Record fees or missing transactions in Finance first.

Start or open a reconciliation before importing statement lines.

Statement transactions

Match each bank line with a posted transaction in the selected account. Editing a matched line clears its match for review.
